Building the broodmare band in the 60's during the socialist regime was not easy.  "Owning horses was still considered a reactionary activity," Nasr explains.  "There were many good horses scattered around the country.  Many were neglected.  People were hiding orses, or selling them at very low prices.  Dr. Zaher and Dr. Marsafi helped my father locate good horses and to verify their pedigrees.  In that way, we found such precious mares as Nagdia." 

Eight of her 11 Albadeia-bred foals were exported to the U.S.   Nagdia's 1967 daughter, Farida (by Remses Fayek by Nazeer), produced well for Albadeia and remains on the farm today.
